There's a number of ways. Start smoking, hang out in a nuclear reactor, lay out on the beach with no sunscreen for a few days, pretty much anything that causes cancer is essentially altering your DNA. Good luck on your quest for carcinogens

There are lots of ways to alter your DNA, as the previous posts demonstrate. There are far fewer ways to control the way you alter your DNA, which is probably what you desire.

Initial research into gene therapy has allowed scientists to add some DNA to a human system in a controlled fashion, but these tests are still very much in the trial stages.

No DNA will remain as it is even supposing it was burnt out..... In the event you put a DNA molecule in a hot water the double strands will probably be seperated a component but as quickly as they are cooled they are going to be hooked up to each other once more to make the equal molecule. That used to be an example about applying high temprature to DNA molecules. Additionally the DNA is used as the primary explanations to realize the relationships between species regarding the evolution point of view (that suggests the fossile determined might were in a hearth or any other extrem hot stipulations) and their DNA was discovered to be now not affected and as a result used to observe thier similarities to one another.....

Exposure to radiation (like from the sun, or x-rays, or cosmic radiation which is greater when you fly in a plane), long term chemical exposures -- they all can alter your DNA, but it's not something I would shoot for.

It takes years, but the answer is to eat plenty of pears. I can't remember why pears are so effective and not, say, bananas (or even peaches!!). But be warned: the results are unpredictable.
