I agree with the others on the choice of the Bubble Room because it's an extremely fun place to eat and they have great cakes but their food isn't amazing. Plus The Bubble Room is on Captiva Island, not Sanible.
On Sanibel I would suggest The Lazy Flamingo (best cheese sticks and garlic bread ever. Avoid the Dead Parrot Wings unless you like super spicy foods), The Timbers (good pizza), Matzaluna, The Mermaids Kitchen and Cake Factory, McT's, and The Island Cow. The Sanibel Bean is the best place for coffee, bagels, ice cream, and a sandwich.

The Bubble Room is a Key West-like resturant,casual and relaxed.It's not a 5 star by any means,but it's what you would expect on Sanibel Island.
