organised religion teaches us to believe the impossible, that killing in the name of God is not only okay but the right thing to do, yes it does prepair us to be mindless fools! To me God should do his own killing! Note I am not a christain nor muslim, but practice my native spirituality
“Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor. And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men” (Exodus 32:26-28).

Religion - in a purely logical sense - is no more a villian than government.
It's all in how men use/abuse power.
I won't even get into the political ramifications of that, but just look at religious figures like Pat Robertson and others. I mean, I can appreciate that these guys have some deep and serious spiritual feelings, but they're coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs. They think God speaks directly to them, they have a mass media pulpit from which they can broadcast all this BS, and they convince people to send them money.
I don't know how to answer the second question you asked. The Constitution tells us we have certain freedoms, and of course, the current administration has done its best to use this document for toilet paper.

Actually, I read a great article recently that made the argument that professional sports, and the importance given to them, are how our political ideas are manipulated. We're meant to think of politics as we do professional sports... pick a side arbitrarily and root for them no matter what, regardless of their record. It's an interesting idea, especially when you consider how political leaders, even presidents, get involved when there are crises in major league sports.

In early history there was NO separation of church and state. The priests (clergy) were the solvers of social problems for the Kings and Emporors.... They did well... Yes, it is indoctrination to slavery.

You are suggesting some type of formula. The idea that people are always going to follow their indoctrination.
You somehow equate freedom with licentiousness, and they are not the same thing.
