Unless you are planning on being a clown, I would stick to shadows that would highlight your eyes and make them 'pop' or look great. Just a little does wonders. I would build up the eyelashes though and make them thick and inviting.

I am hispanic and black with a caramel colored skin tone and I use eyeshadow just about everyday. I use like a goldish kind of shimmer as my eyeshadow or sometimes I would use like a pinkish color. For a caramel colored skin tone I wouldn't suggest that you wear any blue, purple or gray because it will look like you have too much makeup. The point of makeup isn't to look like you did it yoo much, makeup is suppose to give off a hint of color to your face, and your complexion will top it off.

Mac has good bright colours that stay put - they are a bit much for daytime wear but great on a night out - I think purple would look good.

Go to the mall and have the make up lads or ladies help you out, that is what I did. I am white but I have darker skin bc of my Sioux blood. My eyes are green. They put purple on me, I use purple, green, brown. They helped me alot.

I even have tried the two and that i want powder in undemanding terms because of the fact the liquid eyeshadow has a tendency to get sticky and messy. yet, i could nevertheless provide it a attempt. to prepare it on your eyes i could get a tube kind and squeeze a pair of pea length quantity onto your index finger and then gently rub it on your eye. i take advantage of smokey hues and purples(I even have green eyes). you will possibly desire to attempt vegetables and blues.
