Gordon Richard England (September 15, 1937) is an American businessman who currently serves as the United States Deputy Secretary of Defense. A two-time former Secretary of the Navy, he was nominated for his current position by U.S. President George W. Bush. President Bush recess appointed England to Deputy Defense Secretary on January 4, 2006.
