I think maybe you are asking about the people moving here in search of a better lifestyle? Currently there are in process 150 new residential high rise building under construction in Panama City that are over twenty floors, most of them are at least 30 plus floors. They are usually four units per floor. 30 floors x 4 unit x an average two person to unit x 150 is a very low estimate of 36,000 in process of relocation. Additional there are dozens of new projects headed from the drawing board to the bank for financing daily.

According to the La Prensa, the national newspaper; the major developer of these projects says that better than 80% of the units being sold are to United States Citizens.

I can also tell you the largest concentration of expats is in Panama City, probably second would be the province of Chiriqui.

Right now it would be really hard to keep up with the demo graphs of your question. The canal is getting ready to start its expansion. The international airport is under construction. A new sewage system and bay clean up project is eminent. A new mega port is due to begin this year with a new port for cruise ships. Not to mention the push to develop a mono rail or to put a tunnel under the Panama Bay to ease the burden of too much traffic in too small a space. They have decided to take the dirt they remove from the canal expansion and pour it into the bay along Balboa Avenue to widen it for a walkway along the water at will offered small cafes and coffee shops. All of these things will bring experts with their teams of laborers from other nations to complete these tasks.
