You are really not a nice person Jina.

2007-01-04 04:26:08 · update #4

Jina just because I hate babies doesn't mean I am a mean person. I care more about other people them myself. Its not like I can help not liking babies. Besides Its not like I would kill one. Its also not like I am trying to offend anyone with an Opinion. I don't know why you are mad at me over a little opinion. If you don't believe I am nice thats your opininon but to prove it look at some of my past answers.

I have had a baby lady trinity and I treated it with love and he has grown up to be a loving 12 year old boy. It just bugs me when babies start crying. And I don't hate the babies themselves I just hate the cons.

ya know, I was never a baby person. When someone had a baby, I dind't really care. I never went to see anyone's baby. If a coworker brought in their newborn, people would swoon. I stayd at my desk and continued my work. I never held a baby, changed a diaper, or anything related to babies.

Then I became pregnant unexpectedly. I was terrified. What did I know about babies? How would I be able to handle the crying, the poopy diapers, the constant demands, etc. I thought for sure I would go nuts, at best. I was afraid that I wouldn't find the love within that I had heard about.

Then my son was born. After the initial shock, and the love and support of his dad and both of our families, something changed.

Now I am intersted in every burp, fart, poop, tear, babble and breath that he makes. I am back to work and I can't wait to get home to see him, play with him, feed him, and change his diaper. I think it really sunk in the first time that he smiled at me with his toothless smile and big wide open eyes. This little guy trusts ME to give him love, feed him, make sure his needs are taken care of and teach him about the world around him and how to be a compassionate & intelligent man in the furture.

He is now beginning to develop his own personality as he discovers how to make sounds other than cries. He's interested in new sounds and things around him, and it's just so neat to see things through new eyes.

Please do the world a favor and do not have any babies.. You would either be an abusive parent or just a poor, neglectful one.
People who do not like babies ( even their own) usually do not like themselves. Having a baby is to have a miniature replica of yourself. I know that in the case of women who abuse their children the anger results from self hatred. I am making the assumption that you are a man, rather, I should say you are male, and I would imagine your problem is similair to the abnormal emotions of a woman. A man that would dislike his own progeny probably is consumed by self-hatred also.
I am very sorry for you.
A healthy man looks forward to the day that he will find a woman he loves to the extent that he wants to join with her in that ultimate way. Normal men look forward to the day that they will see glimpses of themself in the face of a child, combined with the woman they love.
It is possible that with therapy you could over come this dislike of yourself. Perhaps never to the point where you could want to have children but at least you could get to a point where your self-hatred was not so obvious. It must give you a great deal of pain.
Good luck and I hope that you do take steps to get better.
Blessings,
Lady Trinity~

Pure innocence, laughs, coos, smiles, the way there eyes "light" up when they see who they love(which does mean they think!!) Seeing a mini version of yourself and your mate together in a compact little package who NEEDS you.

There smell, there toothless mouths(or heck a few teeth in there is good too!!), my babies always smell like buttermilk the first year~~~its a great smell!!!

All babies are cute no matter what. They don't just cry, scream, poop and pee. They do tons more and the things you mentioned are just minor compared to what they do that is cute!!!

It's all about personal opinion. I can't understand why other women think Tom Cruise is so hot but they still go nuts about him.
I love babies and I think that are all beautiful (but not all are cute, IMO) - there is a difference. You just don't look at babies the same way as some others do.

edit: I also think Poodles are a waste of dog food but I know others love them and I respect them for that. Hey, as long as you're respectful and don't go around telling people that their baby is ugly (Some do this) then there is nothing wrong with your opinion.

You will never understand why people think that babies are cute until you have been what people go through as a result of pregnancy or proceedures to get the baby. Maybe, It's more of a bonding issue or emotional issue with you. I think you just don't understand them or the development of human life. Once you understand and/or create a bond with a baby....your outlook on them will change. When you don't understand somthing people usually knocks it, before they try to understand it.

I never thought babies were cute either, until I had my own... now MY babies are the cutest things in the world, not because of any traits but because how I love them so much my heart does flip-flops when they smile at me.

All other babies are only cute to the extent that they resemble my babies ;-)

dude, i take offense when you say babies have no way of thought. they are smart enough to know just when to cry or whatever to make an adult jump to their needs. thats pretty smart in my books. as far as how cute babies are i say every single thing about them are precious. their giggles, gurggling, smiles, their body gestures, their eyes shining when they recognize someone that love,in fact buddy right down to their tiny little toes is all precious cause take it from an experienced mother they do not stay that way very long.

I've been poo'd on, pee'd on, barfed on, spit on, cryed on, and had hair pulled out by my little one and I found it all cute. It's because babies are pure and innocent and have no maliciousness in them whatsoever. Absolute goodness.

And yes, babies are capable of higher thought. Don't make statements regarding things you obviously know nothing about.

I use to not like babies before. Really I feel so bad because I would be like oh he's cute but he's going to start crying or drooling or pooping, blah!! But then I recently had one and yes he cries, drools, poops, but he's my son! And I love him sooooo much! He's my little beautiful human. He makes me laugh because he's so cute.

you'll understand when you're older...that's the best i have to say!! kids are great. have you ever watched a small child do something by themselves for the first time?! the joy on their face is incredible and unforgettable!! they are so smart and so complex and have thier own little individual personalities and they're so pure and innocent. my son is the love of my life and i honestly don't know where i'd be without him. don't get me wrong, there are days when i wish he was somebody else's for a day but it's all worth it when he takes his shirt off all by himself or something that seems so ordinary to adults but is so fantastic to him.
