As an Irish fan, I would have been satisfied with just a competitive game against a powerhouse LSU team. But damn, 30 total yards in the second half is insulting. Not to mention 9 straight bowl losses. How can such a great college football program play like this on national television.

Why doesn't Notre Dame have a better recruiting class? It'll be a shame if the capital of college football faded away.

Oh ye of little faith. Weis will turn the program around. They are a top 20 football team not a top 10. The problem with Notre Dame is that they love the media hype. Well, it is a two-edge sword. The media is still hyping away but Notre Dame doesn't have the horses just yet to go along with all the talk. Weis will get Notre Dame into a solid top 10 ranking. Give him a little more time.

As an Irish fan i agree it was a disgrace to see that game last night i was at the bar watching th Sabers get there butts kicked and the Irish at the same time needless to say i got really drunk in the second half i dont know what the problem is they have good skilled players and a good coach you wont see them Fad away like Penn State seems to be doing but if they dont get there act together and have a good recruiting class this year they will be in the hole for a little while and there not going to be ranked very good at the start of next year and with Brady's performance last night dont even think of him going number 1 in the draft last night he let down his team and the Irish fans not to mention the sloppy defense the Irish played too

Notre Dame's 2006 and 2007 recruiting classes are ranked in the top 10.
Jimmy Clausen (QB), the nation's #1 ranked recruit has verbally committed to Notre Dame. He'll be a freshman next season.

Help's on the way boss. Weis was still playing with Tyrone Willingham's players.

Don't feel sory for Notre Dame , be mad at your Coach for not finding better players for the program , next year is going to be a bad one at Notre Dame .

No feeling sorry in football. They lost because LSU was better so good for them. ND needs to recruit, coach, practice, and play. Just like everyone else.

why would i feel sorry for them? they didn't do THAT horrible...

their only losses were to michigan, USC and LSU. yeah, they came close to losing to ucla, georgia tech and michigan state, but they won those games and other games.

as for the recruiting, they will get the best quarterback in HS - jimmy clausen next year. they also signed a bunch of other kids too.

they'll continue to have winning records. i just don't think they're ready to win the big games yet.

Absolutely not. They BS their way into being considered a great team and then stand around looking for excuses when a great team gives them a total a*s whipping.

I do feel bad, however, I live in Michigan and because of the Lions I am used to a losing team.
