Go to www.grisoft.com for the free AVG anti-virus. You might also try www.avast.com for a free virus program which is my favorite.

Download AVG from there. If you find it confusing there, then download it from http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10596553.html?tag=lst-0-1
But if you are already using an anti-virus, then uninstall that before getting AVG. Using two anti-viruses at a time is not a good idea.
