I think its complete self flattery. I have many gay friends that are EXTREMELY good looking and you would not guess in a million years that they were gay. Most of the straight men that make that comment are not the type that any of my gay friends would even wish to be seen with - let alone make a pass at!

Actually I think it's called "projection". Many people think others will react the same way that they would. That's why straight guys think a gay guy will hit on them. They know we find other men attractive in the same way they find women attractive and think we will hit on them simply because they would hit on a female in a similar situation.

i think that is a stupid thing to think. just because a guy is gay doesnt mean that he is attracted to everything that walks with a flat chest and a penis. we have our own tastes and most straight men dont fit that taste.
