But I'm a proud daddy...Can I brag too? :)
My son holds his bottle, sleeps all thru the night (8pm-4am), sits himself upright with no problems, picks up a bottle and knows to tilt up to get contents, knows how to pick up and insert a passifier the right way, pulls himself up to stand and side steps across the front of the couch.

Well, my son is almost 8 months now, but he has been able to get himself into a sitting position since before he was 7 months. He started crawling at 7 months and was getting really good at it by 7 1/2 months. He then immediately started pulling himself up to a standing position, where he will now cruise around the love seat, couch, toy, mom or day...pretty much anything he can hang on to. :) He also lets go to try and stand on his own, but quickly figures out, on the way to the ground, that he can't do that just yet. They are so much fun, aren't they?!?!!?

My son sat up alone at 7 months. And had it down perfect at about 7 1/2 months. :)

My daughter said Mami and Papi and Water and learned to sit up by month six. She is now 10 years old and in a gifted (class for smart kids) class.

Each child is different. One of my girls may have been saying more than the other...one may have been crawling longer...my nephew hadn't reached the same as either of my girls at that age. Each child progresses differently. Whatever stage your baby is in...is perfect for him or her. Congrats on the baby and just enjoy each milestone as they come.
