Absolutely! The only reason they were rated all year is because of the Notre Dame mastic not to mention the revenue the school generates for theTV networks. I honestly believe that Rutgers was a better team and if matched with Notre Dame would have beaten them. I've never seen a better 2 loss team than LSU and if not for that Auburn fluke loss would very well have had a shot at the upcoming BCS championship game. Of course I'm not forgetting that Florida did beat LSU fairly easily.
Notre Dame's program is far from what it once was and I'm not sure what it would take to get them back into the legitimate national championship picture.

If ND had won it would have been considered a significant upset so no, I don't think they were overrated.
I DO think Brady Quinn is overrated. He's a good QB and he's been there when ND has gotten a little respectability back, but he doesn't win the big games. Being on the same field as Jamarcus Russell last night he definitely looked second rate.

Of course they were. they had a weak schedule other then USC and Michigan. And they were blown out by them. Lots of people have been saying they were overrated the entire season, then the LSU game proved them right.

Norte Dame should not have play in a BCS game. My opinion they are the only over-rated team.

Yes. After getting pummeled by USC and Michigan it was hard not to see that coming. It's also hard to figure why they even got a BCS bowl game.

They always are! Sure they have a great tradition and history, but how much tradition is there when on one hand you play Michigan and USC, but on the other you play Army, Navy, Air Force and etc.?
