It DOES get old. And it is partly our faults for not demanding the behavior changes. But that's no excuse. After the 10 millionth time, something should begin to click in their heads!!!

Well, how serious is the offense? Don't take any blame. You're just a good, forgiving person. But sooner, rather than later, you'll have to draw a line....and stick to it. If it's serious enough to where a break up happens, then so be it. Otherwise, you'll be stuck in a situation where it will be one disappointment after another. Nobody wants that. You can e-mail me if you want and let me know what's up. I can probably help you more if you tell me a little bit more detail.

That is why I finally kicked my EX to the curb. All the excuses in the world and yet no behavior change. Lucky me I am sure to be destined to meet someone like that again. I feel Giddy just thinking about it.

The problem I have is not getting any sorrys because the people think they are doing nothing wrong and think you don't know the stuff they are doing wrong. Some people need to just go away because when you call them out on their problems your the one who ends up apologizing because you feel bad for saying anything!!! Its called LA LA LAND.

It gets old and tired after the umpteenth time. Whoever it is that keeps saying they're sorry for doing the same thing over and over just doesn't seem worth the time it takes to listen to it.

Yes, it sure does. I can speak from experience that the person will not change. It drives me nuts, too, when someone does the same awful thing over and over again and apoligizes and then goes and does it again! If you can move on from this person, go ahead and do it. It's not worth all the headaches. I can't move on from mine...I'm married to him. :-)

YES! It only has meaning after the first offense. After that, it's being used as a magic word in hopes of erasing consequences.

yes it does
after a while it does not mean thing at all
sorry
give me a break
if they were actually sorry, they would actually try and change what caused the problem in the first place
give me a break
good luck

It does, but the person may have many reasons for not changing his/her behavior. If they are just thoughtless or abusive, then stop putting up with it. If the behavior could be something compulsive they can't control, offer to help.
