Ok, there are certain things that I am totally ignorant about. One of those things are video game systems of any kind. My 8 yr old son has a game cube and I'm trying to hook in back up after moving it.....IT WON'T WORK!!!!!!! I can hear the music but can't find the picture. I even went out and bought a new AV cord because I thought it was bad. I just don't understand how difficult it can be! I plugged the red, white & yellow thingys into the back of the VCR/DVD player and the other end into the game cube.....what else is there? I've tried multiple combinations of channels on the DVD player and on the TV. We can hear the game! Where is it???? HELP!!!!!!! Please forgive a technically challeged mom. Thanks in advance.

from the gamecube, the red and white cables are to go into the DVD player, in the "audio in" spot. the yellow goes to "video in"

i have a feeling that you put the yellow into video out - which leads to my curiosity on what is hooked into the TV

now, the TV is supposed to have the AV cables going into the DVD where it says "audio" and "video" out

next, i think the DVD player has to be on, but that might not be the case

the TV is not supposed to be on any channel - it's supposed to be on "line -1" or "line - in" or "aux[illary]" - usually you can go to menu/settings -> antenna and then toggle to aux/line

It sounds like you have the Audio Cable in the right spot but not the Video cable. Make sure you have Red going to Red, yellow to yellow etc...Or if you do have them going to the right spot then the input connectors (The part that the AV cables plug into) could be bad.

Good luck.

When you plug it in, make sure the color of the plugs (or whatever they are) should go yellow, white, and red in order from left to right (that is, if you were facing the TV).

Hope you figure it out.

Put the yellow plug in the yellow jack.

Did you try pushing the cords in all the way, or just jiggling them, sometimes that helps.
