Baby Bearded Dragon?

Question

My baby bearded dragon is about 2-3 weeks old. how many crickets should i give him a day?

give him about 10 a day. as he gets older then you can feed him as much as he can eat in a feeding. also offer him fresh foods or you can do baby foods without salt or sugar, and that is good for him as well, til he gets old enough to eat the foods that are a little bit bigger. the more you feed him the faster he will grow and the less you feed him he won't grow as fast. good luck

Omg someone save you. If you only feed him 5-7 a day then he will die. That is waaay too little crickets for a young growing dragon. They will eat between 15-35 appropiate size crickets at a feeding. And they should have at least 2 feedings a day until they are 3 to 4 months old. Then you can go to 1 feeding a day. So the averege heathly dragon should eat 30-70 crickets a day. Needless to say you should buy them online in the 1000 count and not at a pet store which is too expensive. Here is a link to measure for appropiate size crickets,

You would want to feed him as much as he will eat in about 3 mins. You can also offer him greens as some babies will eat them. As he gets old he will eat more greens then crickets. As for now i would feed him as many as he will eat in about 3 mins once a day. As Young adults theyc an eat anywhere from 20 to 100 crickets a day but like i said before he will eat more greens then crickets once he gets into adulthood. Also make sure you are dusting your crickets with calcium 3 to 4 times a week and with vitamins 1 to 2 times a week.

The tail can be a bit stubborn, but you should never peel the dead skin off a dragon. Instead try to dip him in warm water daily until it comes off. If not, just dab a little bit of olive oil on the part that has not shed and the next day it should begin to peel. This happened with my beardie twice and the trick works, but dont ever peel off the skin. It can hurt the beardie, even if it is gentle.

put about 5 in there & if, lets just say he eats 3. then put 4 in the tank next time. if he eats a certain amount always give him 1 extra. this should keep him happy & if hes not hungry right then he can always eat them later. or if he eats all he wants then gets hungry later he can always get that extra cricket!

You want to feed him as much as he will eat......espeically crickets that have been gut loaded.....he needs the protein...as they get larger mealworms, wax worms can be added....veggies can be offered as adults.....and always dust with calcium for those growing bones....but remember no choclate, no celery and no avacado....those things are bad for beardies...

I would put about 4 in there in the morning and try to put a few at night. Be sure not to leave them in at night though because they will eat at his skin and it could cause him to be come restless and tired resulting in not eating.
