I am just looking for an orginazation that will help me get off of section 8 by assisting me in finding and purchasing a home

i live in louisiana and i know there is a program that after you've been on sec 8 for a year, you can purchase a home through section 8, and your mortage will be based on your income (kinda like your rent on section 8).

Check with your local mortgage companies. They can usually tell you the housing options available to you. For example, in my area there is a grant available if you are purchasing in a certain area of revitalization. You will just need to check with your local gov. and non-profit organizations. What is available will vary depending on your area.
