just read your original Q get on to your local trading standards if no joy, get some flyers made up printed off stating the facts and then stand on the street out side there dealership and hand them out to everyone who goes in comes out looks at a car put them up on lamp posts nearby and park your car in front of their entrance basically cause them as much grief as possible. failing that go at night and squirt super glue in the locks on the cars.

As tough as this will sound, head gaskets do fail through wear and tear, and age. If the car is older or has a few miles on it, then no you dont have any room for complaint.

Did you by any chance pay well under book for the car? If so then this further diminishes responsibility for the car. Trading standards take into account what you would expect for the price paid. They say common sense dictates if you buy something at below true price then you can expect a below price item, especially where used cars are concerned.
