Condemned? What is this the 4th century!? You can blast Jews. You can blast Gays, but any other group in the United States - forget about it. Some communities are more "socially acceptable" to mock and dehumanize in this culture. Just ask the person who says "That's so gay" when they refer to something as "stupid." Bigotry is selective and "okay" in the United States.

I was never really a big fan of his and what he said was so unnecessary. Yeah he apologized but that doesn't mean he actually meant it. If that be the case then why not free everyone on death row because they said they were "sorry". I think his biggest punishment is to have to deal with the public and the media. No one is going to look at him the same again or think he's a funny guy. He has to live with that for the rest of his life...in shame. That today is what we would call being condemned

He didn't do anything wrong. Black comedians use the word all the time as well as bad words for white people. It was a part of his act and it was used by the media to make a big deal about it. I highly doubt he is a racist.

Forgiven.

I honestly think this was his way of getting publicity. They say any publicity is good publicity.

Really, how much were any of us thinking about M. Richards before the stunt? How much are we now?

I think he should be forgiven. He has proven himself to be a good person prior to this incident and he doesn't seem ill-willed. We all make mistakes and sometimes may say something stupid in the heat of the moment when we're made angry and provoked, but I don't think he is a bad person and I don't think that this one incident reflects who he is.

I don't see what the big deal is anyway. He's not the first person to ever use the N word. He's not famous anymore anyway so who cares. He apologized a gazillion times already. Let it go.

I think people should forgive him because black people talk about white people all the time in the entertainment business. People have the right to express their opinions. If he wants to be close minded and ignorant than he can.

He may have done his racist taunt as a publicity stunt, if he is forgiven it should be after a lot of work.
