I have two pc's and a laptop which I want to connect together in order to share files between them. I have already set up a shared internet connection which works fine, but for some reason I cannot share files on the network.
I am using Belkin Network Adapters on the two pc's and the laptop has a network card installed. All three run Windows XP.
I have tried using the Windows wizard to share files/printers but it does not seem to work.
Any advice or can anyone talk me through it?
Thank you.

Make sure that you use the same workgroup name for the computers. You can modify this in the My Computer properties. Then, you need to create accounts on the machines to be able to login/authenticate one from the other. You then need to share your printers by right clicking on the printer and enabling Sharing.

All of the above and then you have to right click in the file you want to share, go to "properties" and change the setting to "share".
