Well, I hope in the near future we evolve our speech from Ebonics to proper English.

Every group that speaks English contributes to the evolution of communication in some way. I think that rap which is a form of communication is revolutionizing the way we speak. The language of rap is quite different from standard English. The language of any culture within a culture gets assimilated into the mainstream to a certain extent regardless of whether it is intended or not.

I don't know of any, but I am sure this is. I would think there is some information somewhere that you can look it up..Of course, right off hand, the only person I can think of in communications is A.G.Bell, and I know there is plenty of others out there that have contributed.

My grandfather (Lee Minus Parson) invented fire retardant for telephone poles, allowed for more lines across remote locations.
