What would happen if women just shut down? No sex before marriage. How would men respond?

What could they do? Eventually they'd likely catch on and just have to wait. I think there would be a lot less complications in relationships if that were the case. And if they couldn't wait, then, what should that tell you.......that they are not mature enough yet to make that marriage commitment. Wouldn't it be best for women to get involved with men who share the same desires for what is best for the both of them. So if women want to wait then men should RESPECT that and comply with women's wishes. But I do believe you may find it difficult to get all women to go along with this suggestion but I'd like it if it were possible. I think it would make better families and more respectable relationships.
A lot of the answers in this post are very selfish answers. If you truly love someone and that person you say that you love has an issue with their sexual functions or they just don't fit.... so to speak.... then wouldn't you try to figure something out together as a loving couple to come up with a solution to your so called problem......? It's no wonder there are so many divorces and such, so many selfish people. And I'm not saying I'm not selfish sometimes but I am saying do you people really know what Love is???

Well the cat is out of the back now- Not sure or really care "how men would respond" as a Woman- I care a great deal!

That is only a "theory" and not a plausible one at this point in history. Woman have the right to say YES or no. Its a choice, not a social clamity. I do think that a sense of emotional maturity and a huge personal responsibility comes with having sexual relationships.

WHY- Have premarrital sex- because I wanted to "try before I buy" with everything in life- including a life partner with all the working parts. If only when I signed on the doted line- I wanted a healthy relationship and children. We made sure it was all good.

How would women respond if men said "no marriage before sex"? Answer: They are both stupid childish ways of manipulation. Sex is not a currency unless you're a hooker. Any woman or man who puts conditions on love or sex is a prostitute becuase they are trading sex for something. Answer your question? Now go find a man to control with your feminine wiles and see how long that relationship lasts.

Didn't the CATHOLIC CHURCH try that already?

I think the same thing would happen.
Women would NOT come together and people will still be having sex before marriage. People, both men and women have never and will never agree on anything.

What a strange question. No sex before marriage is a man's idea, not a woman's. Before DNA testing, it was the ONLY way to insure the paternity of the first child born.

They would do without and there would be more Blessed Weddings.~~~
Not to worry, Men would respond the same way as women.!! Become celibate. What a pipe dream this is.!!
Would end a multitude of problems however.~~~
Thanks for a thought provoking question ~~~~
Happy New Year !!!

We would buy stock in sex toy and battery manufacturers. Women are just as big a bunch of horn-dogs as men are and have to "scratch that itch" just as bad as guys do.

We'd also just keep jerking off like we already are.

I think it would be a good thing. There would be a lot less fatherless children in the world, and a lot fewer women on Answers crying, "We've been living together for five years, so why hasn't he asked me to marry him?" Without the free milk, the men would have to buy the cow.

If I were a man, I'd say F--- marriage! I wouldn't marry without having sex first. Sex is too important to leave to chance.

Believe it or not, I think most men would be okay with it! Back in the day when bridal virginity was the 'norm', men with little self control simply visited ladies of the evening, remember?
