In 2006 homosexual rights have been better than ever without support from the government. Thus far no major political leader has had the push and support to get a reform in place to protect all discrimination laws targeting homosexuals. Progress has been made and on some applications you can find policies by employers who do not discriminate based on sexual orientation. In the last 10 years more and more employers are taking to this trend. Homosexual Rights are in line for reform as were the rights of blacks, rights for women, and rights for migrants to the USA. If an individual in the presidential race supported homosexual unions and still met expectations of a good president, would you not support him though he held the key to final liberation for all?

I am a female with a loving boyfriend. I have never been gay or had anything to do with another woman. I do feel that some gay people take advantage of being gay and flaunt it to the world. My brother is gay and I love him a lot. I don't think it is nice to judge people and I do not hate him for being gay. As a whole the gay population needs to clean it's act up first. As a whole the gay population teaches a riveting culture of sexual abuse and moral degeneracy. I would vote for gay rights on a ballot because I feel like everyone should get an equal chance in life.
I would vote for someone who supported gay unions as long as that person respects my right to believe in God and teach my children his word.

I don't look at it as supporting gay rights. It's an issue of supporting the suppression of the rights of those who are gay. Any candidate who supports such suppression will not get my vote. Had that problem here in New York in November. There was a great populist candidate running for Governor, and he would have had my vote, except he came out railing against gay civil unions. Sorry, big guy, intolerance isn't a virtue no matter how many votes it buys you. Mine went to Spitzer.

Edit:
Hey, Mikesporkbun, no need to report you. There's no law against being vocally ignorant. But I do find it almost amusing that you can speak for the motivations of every single gay person in the world. That's a pretty amazing ability! Or else you're just talking out of your pork bun.

Well the problem is that we have the religious nuts quoting their personal mythology into law. It's not even an issue in most countries.

It is similar to the fight for equality in the past for women and blacks.

It comes down to the one fact this country was founded on. Every person is created equal. A gay person deserves no more or less rights than anyone else. But they are entitled to every right that anyone else has.

<-------- SLAMMING HEAD ON KEY BOARD!

What? The entire foundation of this country is based on the family. A family is a Man and a Women. Not my two moms or dads.

Look, if your gay. Good for you. We don't need to pass special laws for you.

No. As you have said, the civil rights already afforded all citizens are sufficient.

gays want marriage only to undermine religion. they cant be happy with unions and other rights. if that was what they cared about, then they would be content. but heterosexuals refuse to give up the religious aspect of marriage as between a man and a woman, and i agree with them. we dont always get what we want and they need to get over it.
ok, someone sue me or report me. it will be the typical reaction to my opinions. ho hum.

awwww. thanks for your kind words zafrod!
