Is he not worried that some of the illegal immigrants could be terrorists?

Whether you're for or against immigration or the war in Iraq, does that not seem to be a contradiction?

Jeff - I know they monitor the borders, but if you ever come to the southwest you realize they are not too effective. My point is that we've spent $360B and 3,000 lives on a war abroad, but we leave ourselves vulnerable at home. If we're going to do the first, shouldn't we do the second?

I don't think too many Arab terrorist would be able to live clandestinely in merry ol' Mexico. But, I do agree with the point you are trying to make.

Bush, via the Department of HomeLand Security and the Department of Immigration, does monitor borders for terrorists in the United States. If you're referring to overseas, such as the borders of Afghanistan or Iraq, we are trying to do that as well, but our efforts are more focused on having the individual country maintain it's own borders, rather than trying to do so ourselves.

If you have a doubt about the border issue here in the United States, do a google search on Seattle Terrorists Plot.

Dumb question and factually flawed.

US Intelligence agencies have all concurred that Bush has actually created MORE terrorists by invading Iraq.

Also, there has NEVER been a terrorist act committed on US soil by illegal immigrants.

All our terrorists have been either home-grown (i.e,, Timothy McVeigh), or have entered the country legally, though some stayed on illegally after they got here (e.g. the Trifecta Day terrorists.)

Stop being such a shrill hysterical pawn of the lunatic right-wing fringe and try thinking for yourself for a change.
