How long is a full time job?

I'm thinking about getting a job, and I'd like to know how many hours in general are full time. And when I say in general I mean for most jobs.

Depends on the company. I work for a large payroll company and have many client company's that define full-time differently. Usually anything over 30 plus a week. But some company's might define it as 35 or 40 hours. Usually they set this to determine who is eligable for benefits and who is not.

(The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not define full-time employment or part-time employment. This is a matter generally to be determined by the employer.)
