someone told me that my comupter is not optimized for dial-up connection.can any one tell me how to optimized it.thanks for your help.bubba

you may need a fax modem .. or simply you need to creat the dialup connection :
open Mycomputer >> control panel >> internet connection >> from the top left : creat new connection wizard .

also from control panel u may check your "modem" options .

If you wish to set up a dial up connection you will need a modem. The modem comes in 2 different flavours, Internal and External. If you are missing the internal one (right click "my computer" icon and then "properties" "hardware" "device manager" and see if a modem is listed) your best option is to buy a external ( more money but easier to conect. If the internal modem is installed click on the troubleshooter and follow onscreen instructions

There is a freeware program called TweakDUN. use this.
