I do things i wish i didnt when i feel upset, for example smoke, eat junk food, cry my eyes out on my own etc.

What do you do when you feel upset? what makes you feel better?

I pray, eat loads of chocolate and sometimes talk it through with someone, spending time with my nephews and niece makes me feel better. as they are always jolly and totally amazing!!

I used to do those things. So, they must have served a purpose. Now, however, the Government is looking after me, and has made me see the error of my ways. Therefore, I am not allowed to smoke, eat junk food, or drink alcohol. I'm told, I'll be all the better for it and will live a lot longer. It's enough to make you cry.

Well you always have two options and ample time to make the choice between them...

I am a classic rageholic... recovered completely with loads of effort and lots of time.

Years ago... I used to just go out, get drunk or high for a couple of days straight, and go to some *****ty as*sed bar and punch people in the face just for looking at me wrong...Start fights, throw around all of the attitude I could and when I was broke and or exhausted I'd go home and pass out and retain the anger and the rage hoping that I didn't actually hurt someone, wait for the cops and if they never showed... then I'd do it all over again the next time something happened that I couldn't deal with... Mostly, everything was an excuse for me to over react and vent because I was a miserable person in blaming mode, out to make the world feel my pain.

Now... I am proactive and mentally aware of my triggers and watch myself much more closely. I pay attention to my needs and my faults, I can forgive myself and others, I meditate, I do not use drugs or drink much past a glass of wine or cocktail (because drinking was never really the problem.)

Basically... I take that one moment that everyone gets between explosion or implosion (in the case of a cutter or self mutulating person.) and the right choice...

I take it, and make it what I want for it to be. Usually, I find someone or something that makes me laugh.

I call them, go see them, take myself out of the moment, you know? As opposed to just rolling with any old impulse that rolls across your mind. It is YOUR mind you know? You control it, it does not control you! Therefore when you realize that everything is a choice... not an unfortunate circumstance sent to hurt you or throw you off... You put blame away and the rage or sadness goes away too...

That is usually enough for me to heal the damage before it gets out of hand.

That is why I married a histerically funny, always calm and centered man. We balance one another perfectly. I screw up sometimes... but not nearly as much or as bad as back then.

haha yeah, i'm always telling human beings they are incorrect. imagine of of me through very truth the guy who does not start up the argument, yet brings it to a climax through declaring an unpopular view in a thoroughly logical way which pisses human beings off. MQ: Even tho we are talking R&P i hafta say the hip hop music Freedom of Speech through Immortal technique cuz its right away suitable. a rock/metallic music that would want to opt to journey is Hook in Mouth through Megadeth, a music criticizing the PMRC, the gang that's in can charge for the parental advisory sticker on albums MQ2: many circumstances its a strive against between Metallica and Megadeth followers who say the various band sucks. many circumstances i'm the devil's propose and apparently that's faulty. I eat a lot of Tic Tacs. Fruit Bold are the best. I also listen to music. It helps a ton. I used to do drugs and cut but I'm free of that now. Never do that.

I write a letter to the person or thing that upset me (not to send)...Just let it flow say anything and everything. Then, I read what I wrote, and repeat until I feel better...

Everyone does stuff they dont normally do when they are upset. They do it coz it makes them feel better (at the time anyway!)

I eat lots of carby sweet foods, and lets be honest you cant get much worst than that!

when in a bad mood or temper and wanting to thump some one I go to my key board and take it out on that. I even some times remember to plug in my head phones so as not to upset my nab ours. among outher things but that would take all the rest of the day to list them,
