How do you love Chekhov? I love Chekhov too! My boyfriend calls me Irina sometimes... We're both theater people and we love his plays.

Do you only love Chekhov, or do you love Russian literature in general?

You are, of course, referring to a musical?

"Do you love Chekhov like I love Chekhov
Oh, oh, oh what a mensch..."

If, however, this is not the case, I most certainly AM amoured of Anton.

See, there was this pushy Rasputin-like producer/director, Stanivlasky, who, at one point in Chekhov's career, overwhelmed him with so-called realism on stage...

So, I think it's in the stage directions of The Cherry Orchard, where Anton states that the train station is up to 20 miles away...

I dunno. I love Chekhov plays and have appeared in same...

I genuinely hate "The Method". But, one has to use it or lose it: at 57 (my age) it is, perhaps, Lear or nothing. Or... Uncle Vanya...

YES I do love Cheklov. Once I saw a production of The Three Sisters and I cried at the end. His work is a joy to read and to see.
