The few "real" friends I have are people who have children my kids' age and a couple of them have children who have a similar disability to my child's. When you get kids involved- particularly ones as special as my kid- you find that a lot of times people don't understand and you make friends with those that do.

I'm more likely to be friends with whoever intrigues me. Many of my friends are similar to me in that they are dreamers, or they write, or they're artists of some kind, but other than that commonality, all of my friends are different and they have varying different interests. It's really amazed me how many people are actually so similar to me and yet so different at the same time. I love it :)

I like to surround myself with both, because sometimes it's nice to be able to relate to someone who is similiar or something that feels familiar. It's also GREAT to meet people who are different so you can learn many new things. I think it's interesting learning about different cultures, backgrounds, religions, etc. It's all of our differences that make the world go 'round. Wish more people appreciated this.

similar with me...because we tend to get along more..than to friends who are different from me..like if we both like music....then we have so much bonding than the other friend who doesn't have that same interest..just an example

actually i find people differnt to be easy to get along with for i can learn from them yet to be close friends with people is hard for me to do

different. if i bump into a clone of me in the streets, i definitely would attack him unless it's a she well then maybe i'll fall in love instead...who knows
