Houston is full of Black folks....who ever told you that Houston is a racist city if full of sh!t...Atlanta, D.C., and Dallas are a few places other cities that are "negro friendly."

*Please keep in mind that no matter where you live, there will always be racist people (of every race too!).

*Another thing...you mentioned N.O., honey youre a damn fool if you move to New Orleans right now!

Least - it would depend on what kind of "black" you are. If you fit the stereotype then there is no such thing as any NON racist city in AmeriKKKa.

If you don't fit the stereotype, i.e. you have a higher education from a good college or university, speak "the Queen's English" properly, and were actually raised and brought up in a "mixed" (which black ghetto types will call "white") area, then your problem will be the fact that people will automatically assume the stereotypes when they see you ANYWAY and that's what you will be up against.

That being said, I've heard that Santa Fe or Albuquerque rank up there as being "least" racist although I wouldn't swear on my father's grave that they don't treat actual culturally-black people the same way the rest of this country does.

Honolulu, maybe??

you shouldnt rely on people's rankings for cities as to whether you move there or not. you need to visit it and meet some people who are from there or lived there to help you decide. those people that you meet need to be people who are similar to you in lifestyle, income, interests, etc. someone from the ghetto of houston is going to give you a very different picture of Houston than someone from a nicer area. for me, houston is okay in general. i have lived in and seen better places, but this is where i am for now. i think houston does have a lot to offer in the way of everyday choices. it is a huge town, so just going around the corner can take 10-15 minutes. the arts, cultural festivals, eating, shopping, etc are so various there is something for everyone. and there are so many people to meet that it should be no problem finding people with common interests to converse with.

1) OBVIOUSLY false. 2) Doctors, lawyers, stock brokers, bankers etc generally ARE salaried workers and small businessmen. 3) Stipulated. Neither has anyone else. Did you imagine you were making a point? 4) True if you rule-out the 49 States where people pay more or perhaps if you calculate based on non-State taxes. 5) An extremely conspicuous contradiction of your other points. Seriously, are you even trying to make one? 6) Long-proved false. 7) The 1st item being manifestly false, so therefore must be this conclusion predicated thereon.

This is one of the dumb questions that just gets people upset.

Be more positive and do not try to get people riled up with racist questions.

If you are planning on moving to Houston and you do not feel as though it would be safe for you - DO NOT MOVE THERE. It is real simple. If you would not feel safe somewhere, stay out of that place. I know nothing about Houston but it is probably like any other big city with a large percentage of minorities. Some areas are going to be safe, some are not safe. Use your common sense. Do not go to places you do not feel safe.

If it wasn't the best place... why does Houston have so many? and Chinese, Vietnamese, Hispanics (of all countries), Philipinos etc. I've been all over Houston and its little neighborhoods... it's very diverse and I'm proud to live here.
There's not much racism, just stupid people doing stupid things.
