Where a recording is made with stereo separation, ie. a different signal is sent to the 'left' channel and the 'right' channel, your stereo headphones, like stereo speakers will faithfully reproduce the sound as it was recorded.
If you mean is there a difference, it all depends on how the recording was made - your left and right ears (to my knowledge) should work the same, so it really doesn't matter if you put the right headphone over your left ear.. the effect will be reversed, but it will not in essence be any different.
Extreme forms of separation will appear in film sound tracks (where a sound effect may 'pan' from left to right as for example a train passes the screen), and maybe some atmospheric music, or even interviews where the interviewee may be on one channel and the interviewer on the other...
Hope this helps
...As an afterthought, of course there maybe some ergonomic difference between the L and R headphone so that it comfortably fits your head...there, I think that's all angles covered!

There is no difference. The left earphone is designed specially for the left ear. The right earphone is specially designed for the right ear.

Nothing, the difference is the signal being sent to them.
