First off, he fought the war you guys want a war fought, PC style. He made Iraq into a democracy instead of making it into a dictatorship until everything had settled. He spends almost uncontrollably at times. He approves of the day after pill. He has done nothing to advance the abolition of abortion or tried to advance the abolition of gay marriages. He can press 2 for Spanish and speak it. To me, he seems almost like a perfect liberal

You must be kidding. He started a war no one wanted, and based it on lies. He tricked the American public into believing the WMD story, and now we can't do anything about North Korea, and we Know they have WMD's. He's a coward and a liar, why don't the Christian Right Hate him?

He's a lousy liberal, although he's certainly no crack conservative, either.
We didn't want to fight a war at all -- and he didn't fight it "PC" style, he got into it so Halliburton and others could make billions off my tax money. Very anti-liberal.
He didn't "make" Iraq into anything but a mess.
Yes, he spends uncontrollably (which has never been a liberal trait -- stop listening to Limbaugh and look at some facts instead), then he financed his spending spree by borrowing from foreign countries (liberals pay for their programs, they don't run up deficits to spend).
He hasn't done anything on abortion or gay marriages because he can't -- the law of the land prevents him. The conservatives should feel pretty let down, since he promised he WOULD do something, but us smart people knew from the start how empty his promises were.
His spanish is lousy, by the way -- just like his english. I think he mispronounces "nuclear" in both spanish AND english...

He's a lousy liberal, and a lousy conservative. I guess that just makes him...a lousy president. :)

If he is, hes an incompetent liberal too. Its not just liberals or democrats than dislike his policies, its the failure of the war, Iraq not being a democracy, and weren't we supposed to be saving ourselves from WMD and not bringing democracy when we started? He didn't do anything about abortion or gay marriage for two reasons, they are state decided issues, and were raised only to solidify his standing with the religious right, and, at the end of the day he is there to keep business happy.
He also has a spongy stance on illegal immigration. So that makes him a lousy Republican, Democrat, and Liberal.
No wonder his approval rating is in the tank.

How pathetic. Reading the question and multitude of answers is like reading a Greek Tragedy. So many opinions, so much disinformation and misinformation. I would try and explain the irrefutable facts but amazingly enough, I've learned that most people will believe whatever they choose to regardless of the facts. Making them literally unteachable. I'll not waste my time. The only one here who seems to have a clue thus far is "The Broken Planet." The answer to your question then is this: The masses are without a compass and have no earthly idea what constitutes a good leader or in which direction they should follow. They are quite literally, bleeting sheep.

First of all,Iraq is not a democracy(we are a democracy),I cant even begin to understand why you would even buy that!Iraq is out of control at this minute and what will happen only God know! I agree he spends uncontrollably! He tried to overturn Roe Vs. Wade. He is against gay marrages. The last two are moral issues,so since he iws so moral why would he be so war crazy!

How could a liberal love Bush

First there is a 5 mile anti liberal perimeter around him at all times.

And more importantly how can you love someone you don't know???

I reserve love to God and family. The idea of loving a strange man in Washington DC creeps me out

Go big Red Go

I get such a laugh out of people that can't come up with a legitimate reason to dislike George Bush, so they go for the old "he's a moron" or "he's stupid" argument. People who aren't smart enough to come up with legitimate reasons to hate someone and then call the person they hate stupid is just loaded with wretched irony.

Granted, George Bush is not the most graceful of public speakers, but you can't contest the man's intelligence. He managed to get elected President, and then win re-election in the midst of severe criticism. That doesn't spell "moron" to me.

The number one reason liberals don't like George Bush is because he doesn't "just let everyone do whatever they want". He stands up for his beliefs. He won't bow or bend once he's given his word (at least there's ONE person in Washington that still values keeping their word).

I don't like all of Bush's policies, but I respect that he doesn't change his policies at the drop of a hat because someone said they don't agree with them. And, apparently, a majority of Americans DO agree with Bush's policies, or he wouldn't have been elected, and then re-elected.

He may appear a liberal to the extreme right, but he's nothing more than a wannabe, perhaps if he had went to Viet Nam instead of to the cheer-leading squad, he'd have been more knowledgeable in the military department...

It's not just liberals who hate Bush. Haven't you read the ratings and polls? Many conservatives including Newt Gingrich want his sorry butt out of office. That's what happens when you launch a war without basis, send troops out without sufficient armor and leadership then bellow, "BRING IT ON!" from the safety of your Oval Office, and spend your time on divisive social issues vs. really tending to the needs of your nation.

About 68% of Americans dislike Bush. That's not just liberals but many dispirited conservatives and Republicans. Sucks to be da Prez.

i don't understand it either. Bush is a liberal and isn't a real conservative. It's a disgrace to the Reagan dynasty for Bush to even joke about being a conservative.
