So I won't go into the whole story but the doctors office screwed up my daughters appointments and so now she will be getting her two month shots 1 day before she turns 3 months. Is this okay? Will it screw her shot schedule up? Will she still be able to get all her shots? Will they stil be effective? I am just really nervous about all this. I want her to get her shots when she should. Anyone else go through this?

Don't worry about it-It won't mess up her shot schedule at all. I was late getting my son's 15 month shots(like close to the 18 month ones!) and he's on schedule. They don't need a certain amount of time in between shots so it's okay if her 2 and 6 month shots are closer together than she's suppose to be scheduled. It only matters that she gets the shots rather than when she get them. Good luck!

Her shot schedule shouldn't be affected taking it at 3 months instead of two, because the 2 month shots doesn't contain a vaccine which requires a minimum incubation time. Some immunizations require a full cycle to be effective, I think the chickenpox being one of them. But she won't need that until 12 months.

Keep in mind some insurance companies don't like having more than one immunization appt within their expected timeframe, for example if they expect you to not schedule for another 60 days and you schedule at the 55th day, they may deny reimbursement. But check with your pediatrician, he should be the authority on the needs of your child.

yes it is fine, if you look at the immunization timeline guides they say2-3 months for the fist shots and then they base the other shots off of them.
