I manage a school computer network and Bebo is banned for a very good reason!
You can bypass filters, but be warned that the techies at your school will know you are doing it. Just think of big brother...they can see everything you do on a computer network the minute you log on and log off again. Everything is monitored.

Firefox definitely won't help you get past any filters; whoever suggested that doesn't know what they're talking about. Firefox IS a good browser, but it's irrelevant here. "CMD" is the command prompt on Windows XP and Vista. This is also irrelevant. The proxies you found were probably just found of a Google Search, weren't they? Most of the common ones you can find there are blocked already, so you'll need to either set up your own or find one that hasn't been blocked yet. You could try using Google Translate as a proxy. It's also possible that your school's filters examine the packets and block those which follow a certain pattern, such as looking like they're from a proxy.

There's no possible way to bypass a school filter and even if you did find a way teachers are almost always on a remote ranger program during lesson anyway so you'll be caught in a matter of seconds. And if your lucky enough that your teacher isn't on a remote ranger program, ICT classrooms usually have cameras in them to see what your doing.

If you can't get past it, there's a reason. You shouldn't be getting on filtered sites during school anyway.

Your school has a firewall and logs all activities. I would adivse not to try to access blocked sites as you can get in trouble.
