It has nothing to do with dell or 1Gb etc.

All it depends upon the network speed and the user settings. If you network used to do faster earlier then check your internet connection settings. Some things like

IP address:
Default gateway:
Proxy address:

try to copy them from your old computer or ask anyone. How to change these settings depend upon your browser version and OS. So take help from web if you dont know.

One more thing. Maybe automatic windows update is working in the background because your PC is new. So also try to disable it.

best of luck.

You really need to give more information to us. Is it a laptop or a desktop? Is it wired or wireless?

From the information you sent it sounds as if the problem is that you aren't getting a good enough connection. If you are wired i would restart your computer and see if that helps or reset your modem. If you are wireless make sure you have a good signal to your computer. If not move closer to the router or even try resetting the router. There are really so many things that this could be that more information would help narrow it down.

That has got nothing to do with Dell. The problem must be your dsl, it probably is too slow or your browser is defect. Try downloading a new one. Same for the email program.
I have got a dell notebook too, and it works perfectly!

Could be anything, try to be more specific.
Is the entire computer slow or just the internet?
How many programs that use the internet do you have running?
For example, bearflix, turn that off, it uses way too much broadband.
