Yes, the birth control pill will cause the hormonal imbalance in your body. these hormonal imbalance will lead to higher chance of cancer. the best way to have birth control is using condom.
next side effect associated with the birth-control pill is also a greater chance of blood clots, stroke and heart attack.

there are inherent risks in taking BC pills...increased risk of stroke, heart attack etc. this is compounded if you smoke. The longer you remain on them and are mucking with your natural hormone balance, you will be at higher risk for these things.
