It may sound like SCI-Fi, but someday humans will be living in space. It may be sometime yet, but will happen. Hopefully, by this time man will have learned to live with each other. It is not unreasonable to believe that there is other life in the universe. Regardless of how you believe we go here, why would you dismiss that same or similar occurrance happening elsewhere in the universe. Unfortunately, as long as there are places to conquer and occupy there may always be wars. Look back at the so called SCI-FI 20 plus years ago and then look at our world today. It is no longer SCI-FI but reality. Star Wars may not be SCI-FI one day.

Fought by humans? No.
I won't rule out the possibility of violent acts in space that could LEAD to a war on Earth, but I don't see a war happening in space.

It's likely that someday there will be. In fact, it's likely there already have been many such wars in other parts of the Universe.

human nature drives two 3 constant things
1) Being better, and evolving to improve our selvs
2) Killing eachother, mostly because of number 1
3) reproducing
so
1) space and technology will come yes
2) war will come yes
3) but not our childrens children, they wont exist
