Nick Saban is the Larry Brown of football. He has a history of walking out on everyone. Don Shula said it best, "No big loss!" and I agree. The Dolphins are better off without him.
Alabama will regret their decision as I'm sure Saban will find a way to get out of his contract and move on to another program. He will ride that LSU championship for as long as he can. The reality is that Saban is not a great football coach. Like many before him, he was in the right place at the right time.

Nick does not like to fail at coaching. The Dolphins went out and got a qb that they thought would lift the offense and things did not go so well. Saban feels that he can't do much better with the current situation in Miami so he decided to move on.
Not sure as to why he took the Alabama job. Alabama has interviewed 16 coaches who have all turned down the job.
His success at Alabama won't be much better.
Alabama will now have to buy out Saban's 3 remaining years on his contract with the Dolphins and compensate him on top of that. That tells you how desperate they are to get a coach.

He's scum. I don't care how successful he may be, in my book he's scum. To tell Miami that he's not going to Alabama, then go there for such a HUGE sum of money as college coaching goes, it raises the bar too high for a lot of schools to be competitive financially and has the potential to RUIN Alabama financially. He used this whole episode as a ploy to get back into college coaching, and while Miami is disappointed, they'll move on because it's the nature of the business. However, Alabama won't be so fortunate because they GUARANTEED every single dollar of the contract they gave him! It makes a once-proud tradition look desperate and makes Saban a lying, money-grubbing sack of monkey ****! I hope he gets his *** kicked, though I hate it for Alabama, for while I'm not an Alabama fan, I respect them and hate to see them get flushed any deeper than they are.

No Nick Saban is cut out for College ball not pro Ball and what he got 32mill over 8 years i would go too....There is only one coach that i can think of that did well in pro and college was Jimmy Johnson other than that its one or the other and hes cut out for college and it will be better for Miami in the long run

There is a big difference between a college football coach and pro football coach. Take Steve Spurier for example-he is a good college coach, but a horrible pro coach. Pete Carroll, Lou Holtz and June Jones are other examples of people who did better on the college level than the pro level. The only coach who excelled on the pro and college level was Jimmy Johnson.

I have a very good friend who played at LSU for Saben and he say he was a great coach and tought him a lot. I think Nick Saben is just better at the college level, but I do think hes letting down a lot of LSU fans/players by going to another SEC team. I think he will regret it when LSU beats the crap outta Bama next year!!! As for Miami, i think they are prolly glad to see him gone.

Nick Saban has not banned his assistants from interviewing for other jobs. He allowed Muschamp to talk with his offensive coordinator as far as th Fla OC job. His wide receivers coach has intereviewed for the Pitt job. His running backs coach has interviewed for the Kent State head coaching position. etc. etc. etc. Do know where you got your info. I assume it was from a wishful Auburn fan

Typical answer for a VOL fan. Dont pout just because we have a kick-a*$ coach now.
Oh yeah, PS - it's typical for coaches to fib when theyre in contract talks. Saban is no different.

I think Nick put it best himself in his PC..........leaving college football was a premature decision for him and staying in Miami while his heart was with college ball was unfair to everyone involved.
Miami is in a good position now and there shouldnt be any hard feelings.
