It's the most pathetic kiss I've ever seen. They and the Clintons were such media wh@res. Remember the "candid" photos of the Clintons enjoying a vacation on the beach?
If someone could get close enough to have really taken that picture without their knowing, they also could have shot them with a rifle. No way in the world did some photographer sneak past the Secret Service to get those shots.
They were staged to make it look like they were a happily married couple.

I don't know. I never really had that impression of Al and Tipper. I think they are very much in love. The impression I got was that they are of a generation, or raised in a certain way, to be uncomfortable with big public displays of affection. I mean, there are lots of couples that never hold hands or hug in public, let alone kiss, etc. It did seem awkward, but that's what I thought about it at the time. Just not a publicly lovey-dovey couple.
