guitar effects help?

is there a difference between a fuzz box pedal and a regular distortion pedal... if so how can i get my distortion pedal to sound like a fuzz box... i basically want a jimi hendrix/eric clapton 60's sound how can i make it happen

depends on the circuitry. if we compared the boss ds1 to the mt2, the ds1 would be much better at fuzz. im not sure what pedal you use but if it was a ds1, level and distortion up with little/no tone.

they actually make both a Hendrix pedal and a Clapton pedal they are made by digitech
