Are you talking about Jake Ryan from Hanna Montana or "Sixteen Candles?"
Don't know that much about the Hanna Montana one. But the guy who played the character Jake Ryan, Molly Ringwald's love interest in "Sixteen Candles" (Michael Schoeffling) was considered a major heartthrob by several generations of women who grew up watching this classic 1980's teen movie. Schoeffling's mystique was compounded by the fact that he only had a handful of roles after that and appeared to drop off the face of the earth for many years - until it surfaced back in the late 1990s-early 2000s that he had left show business to have a normal life with his wife and kids, and was running a handcrafted furniture business in Pennsylvania.
