I think there are a lot of pacifist here....we just don't think it's necessary to make a lot of noise.
Refusing to hate is not the same thing as turning a blind eye.
You can be a pacifist and also be aware.

Pacifism is good, but not at any price. Pacifism and appeasement is what gave Hitler and Hirihito the impetus to start WWII. The problem is finding that thin line between our need and love of peace and the necessity of taking action. Every current world situation should be assessed individually, which of course, requires constant fine tuning. This in turn means WORK which many in the world (not just the USA) are adverse to doing.

Yes you can but I don't know what you mean when you say win. Most ordinary people are not hateful but the media portrays each idea from radical positions and therefore we only hear people who are raging against this and that. I can say, from my lifetime, that I have seen the civil rights movement go from peaceful people seeking justice to a cottage industry of hate. I think the most hate filled people in the US must be the black population who rage against all kinds of things that never happened to them and hate people who never had anything to do with anything against them. Martin Luther King was one of our greatest Americans but his legacy has been followed by people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who sell hate for a living and make a nice profit from it.

America is loaded with pacifists, so why couldn't you? As for a winner, how about Jimmy Carter, Ed Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, John Kerry, Obama? All are pacifists and winners, neither very bright however.

This question is not really worth answering but I wanted to. I think you need some kind of challenge in your life. Grow up or something. You've got too much time on your hands.

Do you mean to become President? No; in fact, the President is the Commander in Chief of the armed forces. (By the way, you don't have to be hateful to think that military force may be needed.)
But in terms of getting impressive positive results? Yes. Martin Luther King is the most famous example.
