There are 386 different kinds of Pokemon. However, a Pokemon is usually made with several different versions (different artwork and stats). Trainers, Supporters, and Energies also make up a variety of cards. There are 35 sets, and each one averages 100 cards. So if you wanted to know how many different cards there are, it would be around 3,500.
