There are a lot of places in the US called Springfield. 35 states have at least one "Springfield".

The state capital of Illinois is Springfield but it's a very common town name in America. There are lots of Springfields.

You need to be more specific--almost every state in the U.S. has a town or city named Springfield. The largest I can think of is Springfield, Illinois, which is south of Chicago.

There are tons of them, that's why in the Simpsons they always reference the town "Springfield" but they never say what state it's in.

Google "Springfield" and you will find that there are many in the U.S.
Maybe the one best known is the one in Ohio.
