I have 2 sandal-wood trees in my house and get plenty of seeds every year. I have many saplings too. They are yours for free. Mail me if you want them. But remember, it's a very precious tree in Karnataka in India, and some rogues will go to any lengths just to cut them for profit.
You could also get saplings from the Forest Department in Malleswaram, Bangalore for a small fee (< Rs 10)

Good morning. I have planted one in my garden, and we got the sapling from the Lake View Nursery in Bhopal. I guess it depends where you are living!

You can probably find them at your local plant nursery. If they do not stock them, they can advise as to suitability in your planting zone and can probably special order them for you.
Good luck with your gardening projects.
