Last night there was a movie on TV with Tom Cruise and it looked like an older drama. His name was Brian and he got his girlfriend pregnant, her name was Jordan. Jordan's dad is rich and he doesn't like Brian for getting his daughter pregnant. Brian's best friend (who lives on a boat) is Doug and he kills himself at the end. What movie is this?

Cocktail was the name of the movie. I believe the girl was Elizabeth Shue. Tom Cruise was a bartender.

Was it the one where he is a bartender on the beach. If so it is Cocktail. They call him Flanigan in the movie, that is his last name.
