He keeps chewing on his fingers, crying in outburst, slobbing everywhere. Are these signs of teething, what can i do to help ease his pain?

Very likely that he may be :)

My daughter just cut her first two teeth a month ago (she's 4 months old now) so while many people will tell you it's too early to be teething I will strongly disagree LOL

Personally I have found that the teething gels and tablets did nothing to help my daughter. She also doesn't like the cold or frozen teething rings that some people swear by. The only thing that seems to ease her pain is Tylenol during the day and Motrin before bed. Of course you should consult your Dr. before giving him anything that he hasn't had before.

This teething ring is the one my daughter uses the most, it's the best (and of course the simplest LOL). My son had one too, and I have a few that the babies in my daycare use also.

It would be early but he very likely could be, it certainly sounds like it. Put your finger in his mouth and feel along his gumline. You may not be able to feel the bumps yet, but maybe you will.

There are many good teething products out there, fluid filled rings to put in the refrigerator, some people say freeze a wet washcloth for him to chew on. But being as he is so young, watch him very carefully with anything. Do a Yahoo! search on teething relief and you'll find some great suggestions. I caution you about using too much teething gel (lidocaine gel) given his age and small size. It is still a medicine. There are some good natural gels out there, too. I'm sure they'll show up in your search.

My son is doing the same thing and I asked my doctor if he could be teething and she said most likely not. If it runs in the family to get teeth early then he could be teething but in my case my husband get his first tooth at eight months and I got mine at 12 months. If you see the tooth pushing on the bottom gums then he could be teething or maybe he is just chewing on everything like my son.
