They'll be a contender, but you're not going to see Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee fold. The East will be a four-team fight now vs. the two or three it had been previously.

No. Every year they have to play Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. South Carolina cannot get the good recruits that UGA, Florida and Tennessee can get also. There is not a rich football tradition at South Carolina, unlike the rest of SEC schools. And Georgia owns their butts from the begining of the season.
Did you see the past four classes Georgia recruited-that is how you build a program!

They'll NEVER be a powerhouse in the EAST, much less in the SEC. Their recruiting base is too small and too close to that of GA, FLA, & TENN. There's not enough talent staying at home either, so I say good luck, you'll need it!

I think with Spurrier, Richt, Tuberville, Meyer, Saban, Nutt, Miles, and Brooks, the SEC has incredibly rich coaching talent now. I don't see any team dominating year-in and year-out.

YES...any good player would follow Spurrier anywhere...
We have beaten Spurrier more than any SEC team though...3 or 4 when he was at Florida and both years at USC.
