Sometimes the IRS will investigate them. They receive so many calls, they cannot investigate every call that they receive. So they take the more serious ones. Calls about businesses receive higher priority just due to the fact that the IRS can usually squeeze more money out of them.

You have joined the goverment and now support any taxation on anything and everything.
There are places for people who evade a tax to live and die free, they are called Americans.
There are places for people that report them, they dont talk alot anymore.
I do not believe in any taxation without representation. 2 Senators for a state with 10 million Citizens does not seem like fair representation.

It will be held in strict confidence. If you identify yourself, and there is a collection made by the IRS, you may well be in line for a percentage of the money collected as a reward.

I would think they would have to pay up, or be taken to court. Depending on how much and how they were hiding it, they could face prosecution and jail.
