I don't think there's anything wrong. Your baby is just about ready to be born, that's all. You still feel the baby moving, right? The contractions will soon get closer and closer together. It will be nice that this year you will be a Mommy for Mother's Day!

Is it your mucus plug? It can come out in "pieces" Snot looking with blood.

It sounds like your labor is starting but it can still be days or even weeks!

Are the pains contractions? If you put your hands on your belly your whole tummy will feel rock hard during a contraction. If this is what your getting I would time them.

They told me to start coming in when I was having 5 an hour and lasting a minute long.

Have sex
Walk
Nipple stimulation
Pumping
More waling
NO CASTER OIL-its a natural laxative!

You could be losing you mucus plug. But no matter what baby won't be long, how exciting ! I would call the Doc. and if you feel that she is brushing you off push for an appointment. When I lost my mucus plug a week had passed and STILL no baby so I was induced.

Good Luck To You Both !

if it is kind of thick and mucus looking then it might be your mucus plug. its nothing to worry about if it is but if your 39 weeks and having sharp pains you might get your bag ready for the hospital, you could be really close. keep an eye on the pains and time them for how long they last and how far apart they are....GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS

I don't want to discourage you, but I had that problem for more than a week before delivery. It wass hell. Hopefully your labor comes on quicker so you can get your snugglebug out of there! Happy Pushing!

It sounds like it is just the baby moving into position and you may bleed because the baby is "tearing" parts of the birth canal to get into place. It won't be much longer. Congrats.

Labor is on the way! Call your doctor if they have a regular pattern and are getting stronger.

call the doctor. Time the pains and if steady and 5 minutes apart go to hospital or doctors office.
