What is your experience following Jim Cramer's advice using his stock recommendations from his show + books?

The Dow performed better than all his picks combined in 2006.

He boasts about his 2005 pick: HANS and 2006: ATI, but anyone can make hundreds of picks in a year and be bound to be right about a few of them.

I bought Sears Holding-I guess it is doing OK.

I wouldn't follow his advice-you're better off picking yourself.
I was smart enough not to buy Lucent which is now Alcatel Lucent

What you have to realize though is that he's in and out of stocks...it could be one week, it could be 3 months...he's not investing for the long term...never has.
